Zpeedometer ("we," "us," "the site") operates zpeedometer.com, a free browser-based GPS speedometer. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the site, including our use of location data, cookies, and third-party advertising through Google AdSense. 2. Location (GPS) Data
The core speedometer tool uses your browser's Web Geolocation API to read your device's GPS position and speed. This requires your explicit, one-time permission, which your browser prompts for directly — we never bypass or pre-set this permission.
Your location and speed readings are processed entirely within your browser. They are not transmitted to, logged by, or stored on our servers, and we do not share them with any third party. Closing the tab or revoking location permission immediately stops all access to your position. We have no way to see, recover, or reconstruct your location history because we never receive it in the first place.
3. Information We Collect
Zpeedometer does not require an account, a sign-up form, or any personal information (name, email, phone number) to use the core tool. We do not operate a server-side database of user profiles. The only data processed are:
- GPS coordinates and speed, processed locally in your browser as described above.
- Standard, anonymous web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) that our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) generates automatically for security and performance, as is standard for virtually all websites.
- Information automatically collected by Google AdSense via cookies, described in Section 5 below.
4. Cookies
Zpeedometer itself does not set any first-party tracking or analytics cookies. We don't run Google Analytics or any similar tracking script. The only cookies present on this site are set by our advertising partner, Google, as described below.
5. Google AdSense & Advertising
Zpeedometer is free to use and is supported by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to zpeedometer.com or other websites. This allows Google and its partners to serve ads that may be relevant to you. 8. CCPA — Rights for California Users
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which under CCPA can include certain uses of advertising cookies. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense; the advertising-related data sharing described in Sections 5–6 is the closest equivalent, and you can opt out of it using the links provided there.
9. Children's Privacy
Zpeedometer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the site requires no account or personal data entry, this risk is inherently limited. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us so we can address it.

The site is served over HTTPS with modern TLS encryption. As we don't store personal data or location history on our servers, there is no user database to secure or breach.
